Hi! I’m Valeria Grasso, LMFTA, and I go by Val!
I’m a therapist who believes therapy should actually move you forward. Many people come to therapy already self-aware. They can name their patterns, understand their struggles, and still feel stuck repeating the same emotional cycles. What they are often looking for is clarity, direction, and support that leads to real change.
I work through a direct, thoughtful, and collaborative lens. I ask questions that help you connect the dots, name patterns as they show up, and slow things down enough to understand what is actually happening. I believe growth requires engagement, so therapy with me is active and intentional rather than passive or open-ended.
I approach this work with the belief that your responses make sense in context. Anxiety, shutdown, reactivity, and self-doubt develop for a reason. My role is not to fix or remove parts of you, but to help you understand them, work with them, and decide how you want to respond moving forward.
This approach is a strong fit for people who value honesty, structure, and reflection, and who are open to being gently challenged. It may not be the right fit for everyone, and that is okay. Therapy works best when the way we approach the work aligns with what you are looking for.
